What kind of game is Duckster?
Duckster is an auto-running kart racer. You do not steer or accelerate; your job is to keep the kart in one piece and get to the front. Win a Grand Prix to unlock a harder one, and bank corn between runs for permanent upgrades.
How to play Duckster
- Jump barriers, potholes and ground enemies. Landing on an enemy or a rival stomps it.
- Boost to become a battering ram: you take no damage and smash through enemies, barriers and rivals. Fuel cans refill boosts.
- Backflip off ramps by holding Down. A clean landing pays corn, and a double flip or better also earns a boost. Landing mid-flip costs 20 HP.
- Knock out rivals by ramming or stomping them for +10 corn each. A rival just behind you will try to ram you too.
Road hazards by biome
| Hazard | Effect |
|---|---|
| Sand | Slows you |
| Oil | Spins you out so you cannot jump |
| Black ice | Speeds you up but weakens jumps |
| Zero-G strips | Let you float and flip more |
Every biome after the first adds one of these hazards. HP slowly regenerates on the ground, and corn pays for pit stops during a run. Whatever corn is left is banked for the garage, even if you quit.
