What kind of game is Glasslands?
Glasslands is an old-school wasteland RPG. Beyond Lantern Hold lie broken roads, scavenged ruins and desert fused into glass, and the beacons that guide people home are failing. The loop is simple and classic: explore, fight, scavenge, return to town, upgrade, and push a little further each time.
How to play
- Explore the map on a grid, one step at a time.
- Fight in turn-based combat, where preparation matters more than reflexes.
- Collect loot, equipment upgrades and survival resources.
- Follow the main story and take optional quests, encounters and discoveries.
- Choose Classic, Casual or Ironman difficulty.
What's in the demo
This early testing build is a self-contained adventure in the Shadelines, the opening region. The main story has an ending, and you can keep exploring with the same character afterwards to finish side activities. The wider campaign is not part of the demo.
Maps and characters use emoji, with an ASCII option, and you can pick portraits, full-body figures, skin tones and face-only looks.
