What kind of game is Kabedon?
Kabedon is a slice-of-life mystery. In anime, kabedon is a romantic move; its original meaning is banging on the wall at a noisy neighbour. The family next door turns up with a recording of the knocking, and it is not you. You think back over your first two weeks in Kitakaze Heights, a forty-year-old building with kerosene heating and thin walls, to work out who it is.
How to play Kabedon

What you learn along the way
The game collects 13 culture notes about real life in a Japanese apartment, including the moving-in greeting, garbage sorting rules, kerosene heaters, the circulating neighbourhood notice board and the closet with its small upper cupboard.
It is part of a series about everyday Japan alongside Desk No. 31, Last Train to Kaerazu and Tadaima.
